Your education is important, and we would like the opportunity to help keep you on track toward completing your degree. Withdrawing from the current term or reducing course load may affect the following:
Students who wish to withdraw from the current term must fill out an online Withdraw from the Current Term Form. You will need to know your network I.D. and password. If you experience technical problems, contact the Registrar's Office at (509) 372-7351 or send an email message to registrar@tricity.wsu.edu. If you do not know your network I.D. and password, contact us so that we may discuss other arrangements for you to complete the form. Students are not required to have a special reason to withdraw from the current term. However, there are alternatives (see below) that should be considered before making this decision.
You may withdraw from the current term at any time during the current semester, through the last day of instruction.
Withdrawing from the current term during the first four weeks of the semester (or according to a prorated schedule for shorter academic terms) will result in a student’s transcript being marked “withdrew (date).” Individual courses will not be recorded.
Withdrawing from the current term after the fourth week through the last day of instruction (end of the 15th week) will result in the transcript being marked “withdrew (date),” and a grade of “W” will be recorded for each course.
Students on academic probation during the semester in which they withdraw from the current term must obtain permission from your major department to re-enroll at WSU Tri-Cities in a future semester.
